TOPSHAM — Wendall Kerry is a fifth generation Maine native who was born “Down East” in Washington County in the town of Danforth. He grew up on a dairy farm in Dexter where he attended N. H. Fay High School. He is a graduate of the Aroostook Central Institute in Mars Hill and has a bachelor’s degree from Norwich University in Vermont. He is a US Army veteran who served in Japan and Korea. He and his wife Mona live in Brunswick and have two grown children. He is retired from the Portsmouth Naval Yard in Kittery, ME. Wendall has been writing poetry and prose since 1990. His book of short stories “Over Home and Other Kitchen Table Tales” is based on family history. The stories about growing up in rural Maine on the CD, “The Bull and I,” are all true with a bit of the blarney added for flavor.
Kerry will be visiting Topsham Public Library for an author talk and book signing on September, 11 at 6 p.m.
