The Chocolate Church Arts Center begins the new season with distinctive music rooted in the Louisiana bayou. The Squeezebox Stompers will bring Cajun zydeco music to the main stage on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 7:30 p.m.

This style of music usually has a fast tempo dominated by the button or piano accordion and a form of a washboard known as a “rub-board,” The Squeeze Box Stompers play the accordion, keyboards, lap steel, fiddle, mandolin, saxophone, harmonica, guitar, bass and drums.

Dancing in the aisles will be strongly encouraged. After all, Zydeco music was originally created at house dances, where families and friends gathered for socializing. Tickets are only $12 in advance; $15 at the door for this foot-tapping, two-stepping musical experience.
