Wednesday evening’s game between the Portland Sea Dogs and the Akron RubberDucks at Hadlock Field was postponed because of rain. The game will be made up as a part of a doubleheader starting at noon Thursday.

The Sea Dogs (75-48) have been in first place of the Eastern League’s Eastern Division for most of the season, but their lead over Binghamton has dwindled to 1½ games. Portland will play 13 of its remaining 19 games at home, including a three-game series this weekend against Richmond, the top team in the Western Division. Akron trails Richmond by 1½ games. The top two teams in each division advance to the Eastern League playoffs.
