Evelyn Dunphy Studio, in cooperation with the Sewell family of Bowdoinham, will provide “art and music in the garden” on August 9 from 1 to 6 p.m. at 596 Foster Point Road in West Bath.
Part of the proceeds from any sale will go toward the “Backpack” program operated by Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program, which sends food home with children at risk of hunger for the weekend.
There will be a large collection of original watercolors and limited edition giclee prints available. A unique opportunity is offered for this event only: 20 original paintings regularly valued at $500 – $600 each will be priced at $350 in an effort to raise funds for the program.
The Sewell Family will perform a collection of folk, country, bluegrass, and Celtic tunes from 2-4:30 p.m.
Evelyn Dunphy’s watercolors passed to the third level of judging in the World Watercolour Competition and are presently being exhibited in “American Waters” at the Lyme Art Association, Lyme, CT and in “Marine Masters” at Art of the Sea Gallery in South Thomaston, ME as well as at North Light Gallery in Millinocket, Maine.
