KENNEBUNKPORT — Joan Ellen (May) Beaudoin, 65, of Arundel Road, died Monday, July 7, 2014 at Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough, surrounded by her loving family.
Joan was born Feb. 11, 1949 in Biddeford, a daughter of Robert L. and Helen L. (Noble) May Sr.
She attended Consolidated School and Kennebunk High School.
On July 4, 1967, she married Richard Marcel Beaudoin.
Joan was the ultimate homemaker, who enjoyed family times with her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time outdoors around her home and took care of the yard and garden. Never shy about trying new challenges, Joan was always willing to pick up a tool and repairing anything that needed repairs in her home. She was very self sufficient.
Joan was preceded in death by: her brother, Scott May; and her sister, Diane Rowland.
She is lovingly remembered by: her husband of 47 years, Dick; her daughter, Michelle Taylor of Biddeford; her sons, Richard Marcel Beaudoin Jr. of Portland and Norman Beaudoin and his wife Jodie of Kennebunk; her grandchildren, Nathan Taylor, Casey Taylor, Taylor Beaudoin, Laila Beaudoin and Tyson Beaudoin; her brothers, Dennis May, Robbie May, Glenn May and Wally May; and her sisters, Carole Forrest, Linda Croteau and Robin Hanscom.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk, with Rev. Carolyn Lambert officiating.
