Westbrook police said Wednesday afternoon that a water main break on Bridge Street near Lincoln Street in Westbrook will result in traffic delays in the area and cause some traffic to be detoured.

Crews are on site and it is estimated that repairs will last through the day and into the evening.

Officials say commuters should allow themselves extra time if traveling in the area, follow the directions of the traffic flaggers and drive carefully.
