BATH — To celebrate its fifth annual summer film festival, Patten Free Library will screen some of the best summer movies of all time in a series called “Hot Times in the City.” Each film radiates with heat—from the sweltering temperatures of Brooklyn in “Do the Right Thing” to the steamy chemistry between William Hurt and Kathleen Turner in “Body Heat” and the fiery marriage of Maggie and Brick in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.”
The series kicks off on Tuesday, June 17, with “American Graffiti” and ends on August 5 with “In the Heat of the Night.” Show time is 6:30 p.m. in the library’s air conditioned community room. All movies are free and refreshments are provided.
