Polls in Gorham are open on Tuesday, June 10, from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Ward 1, Gorham Middle School, Weeks Road; Ward 2, Shaw Gym, Gorham Municipal Center, 75 South St., (parking at end of Access and Ballpark roads).
Voting in Buxton is from 6 a.m.-8 p.m. at Buxton Town Hall, 185 Portland Road.
Comedian Ramey to appear at Spire 29
Comedian Louis Ramey will appear at Spire 29 on the Square, 29 School St., in Gorham at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 21.
Ramey has appeared on Comedy Central and the Tonight Show. He has performed in Hong Kong, Canada, Cuba and Australia. He has been an opening act for Ray Charles, the Temptations, Smokey Robinson, Isaac Hayes and Donna Summer.

Girl Scouts registration
Girl Scouts of Maine will host a parent information and registration meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, at Great Falls School, 73 Justice Way.
Girls and adults are invited to attend the meeting to find out about Girl Scout programs and to learn how they can participate. Participants will also learn about the benefits of becoming a Girl Scout volunteer.
Bank names Stout manager in Gorham
TD Bank has promoted Steven M. Stout to location manager at 95 Main St. in Gorham.
He is responsible for new business development, consumer and business lending, managing personnel and overseeing the day-to-day operations at the location, serving customers throughout the area.
Stout has six years of experience in banking, lending and insurance. He joined TD Bank in 2010 as a financial service representative before his most recent position as assistant manager in Windham.
A resident of Auburn, Stout is a 2008 graduate of Saint Joseph’s College.
U.S. taxpayer debt
The Bureau of the Fiscal Service reported on May 29 that the U.S. Public Debt was $17,502,870,380,161.92.
Benito Murray, a 2010 graduate of Gorham High School, graduated summa cum laude from Norwich University, in Northfield, Vt., on May 10. He was commissioned into the U.S. Army from Norwich University the following day as a lieutenant. Murray has reported to active duty and is serving with the 428th Field Artillery Brigade, assigned to Fort Sill, Okla.
Hyunmin Bae, a Gorham High School exchange student from South Korea, recently presented principal Christopher Record with a kite from South Korea, and he presented her with an American flag and two Gorham Rams shirts. Bae, who lived with Edward and Gail Platts in Gorham, leaves on July 5 to return to South Korea.
