Something Small Under the Blankets features editioned fine art prints in 4 square inches and related monoprints by 13 Central Maine artists. On view in the Morrell Meeting Room at Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick from June 2- 27, this exhibit is one of three concurrent print exhibits in Brunswick in June. The other two are at Points of View Art Gallery, 18 Pleasant Street in the Brunswick Business Center, across the street from the Library.
A collaborative project between members of Circling the Square Fine Art Press in Gardiner and other area printmakers, the show includes 26 works by the following artists: Karen Adrienne, Robin Brooks, Corliss Chastain, Christine Higgins, Judith Long, Diana McFarland, Margo Ogden, Donna Parkinson, Ellen Roberts, Kris Sader, Susan Sean Smith, Sarah Vosmus and Barbra Whitten. This “traveling” show was first exhibited in Gardiner in October 2013; it will be shown again at The Rock and Art Shop in Bangor this September. The work includes etchings, reliefs, serigraphs, collagraphs and solar plate prints.
