BUXTON – Incumbent Jean Harmon and Dennis Santolucito are running unopposed for two available seats on the Board of Selectmen in Buxton’s municipal election next month.
Harmon is a former chairwoman of the five-member board, and Santolucito is a member of the Appeals Board. Both seats are three-year terms.
The two terms expiring in June are those of Harmon and long-time Buxton selectman Robert Libby, who did not take out nomination papers.
Town Clerk John Myers Jr. is seeking another three-year term and is also unopposed.
No candidate filed nomination papers for a three-year term as a director for Maine School Administrative District 6. Also, no one filed for three and two-year terms on the Buxton Planning Board or a three-year Budget Committee seat.
The secret ballot municipal election will be on Tuesday, June 10. The annual town meeting is set for Saturday, June 14.
