After my 84-year-old father lost nearly $70,000 to a well-organized scam, I began to research how that could possibly happen. The name of one man surfaced: a man who not only understood the magnitude of a Jamaican scam organization, but who cared enough to do something about it.

That man is York County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy William King.

King has worked hard to bring this multi-billion dollar exploitation of American senior citizens to light. He has testified before Congress. He has visited and pressured Jamaican authorities in person. He took the time to call and talk to my father, and to alert me about additional scam attempts that would follow.

King is now running for sheriff of York County. I wholeheartedly support his campaign, and encourage all York County voters to vote for him in the Democratic primary election on June 10. As sheriff, King will be able to continue working for all citizens of York County, and fight to put a stop to lottery scamming.
