EAST WATERBORO — Yvette M. J. Cote, 74, of East Waterboro, passed away Tuesday morning, on March 18, 2014, at Seal Rock Healthcare in Saco.
She was born in Biddeford on Oct. 22, 1939, a daughter of Leon and Marie Ange (Houle) Ste. Marie.
She was a graduate of St. Andre’s High School, Class of 1958.
Yvette was employed by Lunder Shoe Products in Saco for several years.
She was a dedicated sponsor for Children International for 15 years and a great supporter St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital for many years.
Yvette enjoyed spending many Mondays at Wendy’s in Saco with her volunteer funeral luncheon group. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Richard R. Cote Sr. on Oct. 23, 2000.
She is survived by: three sons, Richard R. Cote of Waterboro, Michael Cote and his wife Donna of Biddeford and Kevin Cote of North Waterboro; two daughters, Patricia Grigware and her husband Michael of Biddeford and Karen Allain and her husband Thomas of Sanford; one sister, Lorraine Fleurant of Saco; sister-in-law, Madeline Deschambeault of Saco; seven grandchildren, Keila and Alyssa Grigware, Nathan and Kendra Cote, Ricky Cote III, and Jacob and Joshua Allain.
Visiting hours will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2014 at Most Holy Trinity Church, Good Shepherd Parish in Saco. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
