SACO — Rita D. Brackett, 91, of Saco, died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at her home.
She was born Jan. 26, 1923 in Biddeford, a daughter of William and Medora (Bergeron) Brulotte, and was educated in Biddeford schools.
On April 12, 1943, she married Robert C. Brackett at St. Andre’s Church in Biddeford.
Rita enjoyed playing Bingo.
Robert preceded her in death on June 29, 2006.
She was also preceded in death by: a brother, Leo Brulotte; and three sisters, Laurence Frechette, Florence Gilbert and Germaine Diolio.
She is survived by: two sons, Gregory Brackett, with whom she resided, and Donald Brackett and his wife Yvonne of Shapleigh and their six children, Clifford, Robert and Eric Brackett, Crystal McCurdy, Sabrina Spaulding and Tom Harrington; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
There will be no visiting hours. Committal services will be held at noon Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Sapphire Mausoleum in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. To share condolences online, visit www.hopememorial.com.
