FRISCO, Texas — James Nunnally scored 35 points to lead eight Texas Legends players in double figures in a 139-120 win over the Maine Red Claws in an NBA Development League game Friday night at Dr. Pepper Arena.
The scored was tied at 55 with six minutes left in the first half, but the Legends (21-22) closed the half with a 23-10 run for a 78-65 lead. Maine (17-24) was unable to create a significant challenge the rest of the way.
Frank Gaines scored 34 points for the Red Claws, who had six players with 10 points or more.
Daniel Orton finished with 19 points, TyShawn Taylor added 17, and Abdul Gaddy scored 15 for Maine. Damen Bell-Holter chipped in with 13 points and Zeke Marshall had 10.
Shane Larkin had 21 points and 11 assists for Texas, while Damien James contributed 16 points and 12 rebounds.
NOTE: The Milwaukee Bucks signed Red Claws forward Chris Wright to a 10-day contract.
Wright has averaged 19.5 points and 8.1 rebounds in 38 games this season with the Claws.
Wright last played in the NBA in 2011-12, when he got into 24 games with the Golden State Warriors. His first game for the Bucks will be against the New York Knicks at noon Saturday.
