AUBURN — Jamie C. Davis, 52, of Merrow Road, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2013 at his home.

He was born in Biddeford on April 7, 1961, a son of the late James and Jeanne (Ridlon) Davis.

Jamie proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

Jamie was a truck driver for many years. He loved being on the open road and traveling around the U.S. He worked for a few different trucking companies and was most recently was a truck driver for the U.S. Postal Service.

Jamie was a friend to many, most of his friends being lifelong friends; he was easy to like and made friends very easily. He had a huge heart and a great sense of humor. He loved his family; he was very supportive of his parents in their later years. He loved his daughter Lauren and was an uncle to many. Jamie enjoyed to cook, especially for family and friends, and traveling to Florida and being in the warm weather. He was a hard worker and took great pride in everything he did.

He was a member of The Old Orchard Beach United Methodist Church and The Elks Club.

He leaves: his daughter, Lauren Davis of Atlanta; a sister, Lisa Davis of Biddeford; two brothers, Steve Davis and wife Karin and Terry Davis, all of Florida; two special nieces, Julie Davis and Jessica Lavigne; and other nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Jamie’s life will be celebrated on Friday, Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. at Old Orchard Beach United Methodist Church. Committal will be held at a later date. The Fortin Group/Plummer & Merrill Funeral Home, Cremation & Monument Services, 217 Turner St. in Auburn, handled the arrangements (783-8545).
