The Maine Warden Service, along with the Gorham and Standish fire departments, will join forces to conduct cold-water rescue training this weekend.

The training will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, on Sebago Lake at Richardson’s Marina on Whites Bridge Road in Standish, according to an announcement Wednesday by Gorham Public Safety.

The training will feature warden service airboats and cold-water rescue teams from the Gorham and Standish departments. The training partnership will enable both agencies to become familiar with the skills and abilities and how to best utilize this collaboration to serve the area communities, Gorham Public Safety said in a statement.
