TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) — Cleanthony Early scored 19 points and Tekele Cotton added 14 as No. 4 Wichita State remained unbeaten with a 65-58 victory at Indiana State on Wednesday night.

The Shockers (24-0, 11-0 Missouri Valley) extended their school-record winning streak and improved to 11-0 in conference play for the first time in school history. They have won three straight in the series.

The only other undefeated team in Division I is No. 2 Syracuse (22-0).

Manny Arop had 16 points and Jake Odum added 11 for Indiana State (17-6, 8-3) which was 8-0 at home this season and fell to 40-11 at the Hulman Center under fourth-year coach Greg Lansing. Four of those losses have come to the Shockers.

No. 5 SAN DIEGO ST. 67, BOISE ST. 65

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Dwayne Polee II hit a 3-pointer with 4 seconds left as San Diego State rallied from a 14-point deficit to extend its winning streak to 19 games.

Xavier Thames scored 23 points for the Aztecs (20-1, 9-0 Mountain West), who have won eight of nine meetings with the Broncos (15-8, 5-5). San Diego State eliminated Boise State from the past two conference tournaments and beat the Broncos 69-66 earlier this season.

Mikey Thompson led the Broncos with 16 points and Thomas Bropleh and Derrick Marks both added 15.

Boise State led 57-43 with 13:37 to play when Bropleh banked in 3-pointer. But the Broncos either missed a shot or turned the ball over on 13 of their next 14 possessions and the Aztecs took a 61-59 lead on three consecutive baskets by Thames.

The Broncos regained the lead on a basket by Thompson, but two more free throws by Thames and a defensive stop set up the final possession. Thames drove to the right of the key, then whipped a pass to Polee, who drilled the game-winner.

Marks’ 3-point attempt at the buzzer was off.

No. 10 MICHIGAN 79, NEBRASKA 50

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Freshman Zak Irvin scored all 16 of his points in the first half for Michigan.

The Wolverines (17-5, 9-1 Big Ten) were coming off their first conference defeat, a 63-52 loss at Indiana on Sunday. They nearly matched that scoring total with a 49-point first half against the Cornhuskers (11-10, 3-6).

No. 20 VIRGINIA 77, BOSTON COLLEGE 67

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) — Malcolm Brogdon had 17 points, a career-best 11 rebounds and seven assists and Virginia won its sixth straight.

Anthony Gill and Justin Anderson added 13 points each for the Cavaliers (18-5, 9-1 Atlantic Coast Conference). Virginia led 40-21 at halftime and never let its margin dip below 13 until the final minutes, when the Eagles scored 12 straight to get within 71-64 before Brogdon clinched it at the free throw line.

Ryan Anderson scored 20 points to lead the Eagles (6-16, 2-7), who lost for the ninth time in 11 games. Their only two victories in that stretch have both come against last-place Virginia Tech.

The game was the Cavaliers’ first since a 3-pointer by Brogdon in the closing seconds lifted them to a 48-45 victory at No. 18 Pittsburgh, a triumph that vaulted Virginia back into the Top 25 for the first time since the opening weeks of the season.

WEST VIRGINIA 91, No. 21 OKLAHOMA 86, OT

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — Eron Harris scored 26 of his 28 points after halftime for West Virginia.

Juwan Staten added 20 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for the Mountaineers (14-9, 6-4 Big 12), who won their third straight. Terry Henderson scored 17 points.

Harris forced overtime with a 3-pointer with 20 seconds left in regulation and scored six points in the extra period.

Travel problems prohibited Oklahoma from arriving at the arena until 90 minutes before tipoff. The Sooners overcame that and a 14-point deficit in the second half but were limited to five points in overtime in losing their second straight.

Jordan Woodward led the Sooners (17-6, 6-4) with 23 points. Tyler Neal added 16 points, Buddy Hield had 15 and Ryan Spangler 10.

No. 23 GONZAGA 71, PORTLAND 66

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — David Stockton, Angel Nunez and Kevin Pangos all scored 13 points as Gonzaga avenged a January loss to Portland.

Sam Dower Jr. added 10 points for Gonzaga (21-3, 11-1 West Coast), which has a three-game lead over BYU and San Francisco in the conference and is seeking its 15th regular season title in the past 17 years.

Ryan Nicholas scored 15 points to lead Portland (13-11, 5-7), which was seeking its first victory in Spokane since 2003.

Gonzaga jumped to a big lead in the first half, but had one of its worst shooting droughts of the season in the second to allow Portland to overtake them. Three-point baskets by Stockton and Pangos and a flurry of free throws lifted the Zags to their seventh consecutive win.

Gonzaga, which has won 23 straight home games, made 10 of its first 15 shots, including five 3-pointers.

No. 25 PITTSBURGH 59, MIAMI 55, OT

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) — Lamar Patterson scored 10 of his 25 points in overtime as Pittsburgh ended a two-game losing streak.

Cameron Wright added 12 points and Talib Zanna had 10 for Pittsburgh (19-4, 7-3 Atlantic Coast Conference).

Rion Brown had 21 points for Miami (11-11, 2-7).

Patterson made one of two free throws with 10.6 seconds left to give the Panthers a 57-55 lead. Brown’s pass as he drove toward the basket was intercepted by Patterson, who made two free throws to seal the victory.

Patterson made a layup with 13.1 seconds left in regulation to give Pittsburgh a one-point lead, but Manu Lecomte of Miami made the second of two free throws with 7 seconds left to tie the game at 46.
