BIDDEFORD — Pauline T. Audie, 88, of Biddeford, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 at the Shaw House in Biddeford, after a long illness.
She was born in Biddeford on Dec. 9, 1925, the daughter of Emile and Aurore Jariz Grenier.
She was educated in Biddeford schools, graduated from Biddeford High School and attended Rivier College in Hudson, N.H.
On May 30, 1953, she married Robert J. Audie in St. Andre’s Church in Biddeford. He died on Aug. 6, 2007.
Mrs. Audie worked 15 years at Liggett’s Drug Store in Biddeford as a cosmetic manager. She later worked at St. Francis College.
She was a loving wife and mother, always putting others’ needs first. She enjoyed her family. For more than 40 years, she enjoyed entertaining with camping, family gatherings and reunions at Nason’s Beach, located at Sebago Lake. Everyone was always welcomed.
Pauline enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren participate in all types of sport activities. She attended many retreats at the Oblate Retreat House in Augusta. She wintered in Lantana, Fla. with her husband, Bob, for 23 years, where she entertained many family and friends.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Parish and Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lantana, West Palm Beach, Fla.
She was preceded in death by: her twin sister, Georgette Mailman and her husband Earl.
Surviving are: one son, David R. Audie and his wife Jane of Biddeford; two daughters, Diane M. Currier-White and her long-time friend Richard Brown of Peabody, Mass. and Denise M. Audie-Paradis of Biddeford; six grandchildren, Ryan Audie of South Portland, Chief Petty Officer Brandon Audie, USN and his wife Amanda of Gulfport, Miss., Timothy Currier of Somerville, Mass., Tyler Audie, Nathan Paradis and his wife Amanda and Keith Paradis, all of Biddeford; two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Ali Audie of Gulfport, Miss.
Visiting hours will be Friday, Jan. 10, 2014 from 10 a.m. to noon followed by a funeral service at noon at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005.
