As a retired man who lived for 20 years in New Hampshire, some of my observations follow.

I have lived in Westbrook for over five years and find the people are very polite and big donors, especially at Christmas. The pace of life is better here, with people stopping to listen to one another. A lot of the kids in Maine have learned it’s better to give than receive. Adults in Maine are not too sure about people from away or politicians. Drivers in Maine, frequently seen in my rear-view mirror as too close, are nothing to write home about. Enough said.
