BRUNSWICK — The Maine Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club offers a Winter Outings Skills Workshop on Saturday, Dec. 14 at Curtis Memorial Library, 23 Pleasant St.
Please join us for a Winter Outings Skills Workshop at the Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick. AMC Maine Chapter leaders Peter Broderick and Laura Flight will discuss clothing, gear, snow travel and other knowledge and techniques essential for outdoor outings in the winter. There will be indoor instruction followed by a potluck lunch, then an optional short outdoor session.
Although the focus of the workshop is on hiking in the winter, many of the topics apply to any outdoor winter outing.
