BRUNSWICK — As part of its ongoing “Breakthrough: Work by Contemporary Chinese Women Artists,” the Bowdoin College Museum of Art will present “Summoning Ghosts,” 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in Kresge Auditorium at the campus Visual Arts Center.
The lecture is presented by Hung Liu, a Chinese-American artist best known for her drip-style paintings that merge archival photographs of Chinese people with traditional symbols.
She will speak on her creative practice and personal history. Her work is included in the exhibition, which is ongoing through Dec. 22.
