Free community meal – Saturday, Sept. 28, 4:30-6:30 p.m., Christ Chapel, 37 Northern Pines Road (off Route 85 near Crescent Lake), Raymond. Fettuccini and meatballs, soup, casseroles, salads and desserts. Food is continually served, buffet-style. All ages and surrounding communities welcome.

Harvest supper – Saturday, Sept. 28, 5-6:30 p.m., Casco Village Church, UCC, 941 Meadow Road (Route 121), Casco Village. Locally raised ham smoked naturally, locally baked grown beans, locally grown squash with maple syrup, locally grown vegetables, locally grown ingredients for casseroles, locally picked apples for crisp, roasted coffee. $7; $4, age 8 and under; $20, families with young children.

Harvest dinner – Friday, Oct. 4, 5:30-8:30 p.m., Bonny Eagle Middle School, 92 Sokokis Trail, Buxton. Fundraiser with silent and live auctions to benefit the district’s school gardens and farm-to- school programs. Vegetable lasagna, corn, salad, bread, and apple crisp. $10; $5, students; $1, children under 4. Tickets in advance recommended at Bonny Eagle elementary schools, middle school or Rippling Waters Farm, 776-4961.

Turkey dinner – Saturday, Oct. 5, 5 p.m., Lunn-Hunnewell Amvets Post 6 Auxiliary, Route 100 (Lewiston Road), New Gloucester. Turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Dinner benefits the New Gloucester Veterans Monument being built next year. $9; 6-12 years old, $6; age 5 years and under, free.

Bean supper – Saturday, Oct. 5, 5-6:30 p.m., Friends Church, Route 202, Windham. Baked beans, brown bread, salads, pies, coffee and punch. $7; $1, children under 12.
