TOPSHAM — Topsham Public Library is now accepting applications for its annual writing competition: The Joy of the Pen.
The Joy of the Pen is free to enter for year-round Maine residents, whether amateur and professional. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: fiction, poetry and creative nonfiction.
Applications may be obtained at the library or by emailing emma@topshamlibrary.org. The deadline for submission of applications is Oct. 10. A reception and reading will be held on Nov. 9 to announce the winners.
Joy of the Pen is sponsored by the Friends of the Topsham Public Library. The Topsham Public Library is located at 25 Foreside Road.
