Again this year, the event will be held in the Parish House at the corner of Cross and Glidden Streets in Newcastle.
A reception will be held today, Sept. 20, from 5-7 p.m., and the show will be open both Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
More than 40 area artists will be represented in this year’s show, including Bruce and Julie Babb, Anthony Jackovich, and Liliana Thelander. A wide selection of works in several media will include many framed wall pieces as well as unframed bin pieces. Also, the stairwell hall of the Victorian Parish House will be hung with a mini show of smaller pieces.
In addition, fine local clay artists will be participating, and quilted and hooked pieces by Claire Wingren will be shown.
The signature painting for the show is Lupine House, an oil painting by Bath artist Sarah Greenier, which will also be on display. Signs in the Glidden and Cross Street area, near the Newcastle/ Damariscotta bridge, will carry the Lupine House image so the location will be easy to find.
