BRUNSWICK — Alexis Nolan, R.N., C.N.M., recently joined the obstetrics and gynecology team of Mid Coast Medical Group — Women’s Health Care.
She joins the midwifery team of Angela Ripley and Suzanne Zimmerman, offering full-scope midwifery and 24-hour-a-day coverage at Mid Coast Hospital’s Maternity Care Center.
Working in concert with a team of doctors and nurse practitioners, the three midwives offer preconception counseling; deliver well women care at any age including annual gynecological care and pap smears; and provide personalized prenatal care, supported childbirth, and postpartum care.
“We are so grateful to have Alexis join us as we prepare to expand the midwifery program to offer more centering classes and education for families,” said Zimmerman.
Nolan obtained her bachelor of nursing degree from McGill University in Montreal and a master’s of science in nursing with a nurse-midwifery concentration from the University of New Mexico. She has been a labor and delivery nurse for nearly ten years and became certified by the American College of Nurse Midwives in 2010.
Mid Coast Medical Group — Women’s Health Care is located at 121 Medical Center Drive in Brunswick.
