Mrs. Tisdale attended Hallowell schools and was a homemaker for most of her life.
She was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary.
Mrs. Tisdale was predeceased by her husband, Harry D. Tisdale; two daughters: Arlene McRee and Janice Jenkins; two brothers: Keith and Kenneth Morgan and her sister, Caroline Plummer.
She is survived by a son, Harry D. “Sonny” Tisdale Jr. of Chelsea; two daughters: Dorothy Tardif Read of Washington and Harriett Rogers and her husband Richard of Dayton, OH; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Following cremation, relatives and friends may visit on Saturday, September 21 from 2-4 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home, Windsor Chapel, 983 Ridge Road, Windsor. A Celebration of Dorothy’s Life and a graveside committal will be held at a later date.
The family requests that donations in Dorothy’s memory be made toward the Celebration of her Life either at the time of the event or to: Brian Read, 36 Calderwood Road, Washington, ME 04574.
