BATH — Beth Israel Congregation will observe the High Holidays in early September.
On Sept. 4 there will be a 7 p.m. service to mark Rosh Hashanah Eve, followed by apples and honey.
The next day, Sept. 5, is the first day of Rosh Hashanah, and will be celebrated at 9 a.m.
A youth service follows at 11 a.m.. At 1 p.m. there will be a community potluck luncheon, followed by Tashlich at the Waterfront at 2 p.m.
A 9 a.m. service will mark the Second Day of Rosh Hashanah on Sept. 6.
Yom Kippur will be observed Sept. 13 and 14.
At 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 13, there will be a Yom Kippur Kol Nidre service.
On Sept. 14, there will be a 9 a.m. Yom Kippur morning service. The rest of the day will include an 11 a.m. youth service; a 12:30 p.m. Yizkor service; a break at 1 p.m.; Torah study at 4:45 p.m.; and 5:30 p.m. Mincha and Neila services. A shofar blowing is planned at 7:20 p.m., followed by a potluck break fast.
