HARTLAND — Katherine (Turcotte) Gallagher, 67, died August 24, 2013, at a Pittsfield hospital. She was born September 25, 1945, in Portland, a daughter of Alfred and Evelyn (Robbins) Turcotte.

She had been employed for 23 years as a medical technician at Plant Memorial Home in Bath, retiring in 2000. Kathy was considered to be a crafty lady, making dolls, quilts and afghans. She always had a smile and was a “second mother” to many.

She is survived by 2 sons, Richard and wife Leona Henward Jr. of Westbrook and Charles Henward of Stetson; a daughter, Miranda and husband Eric Merrill of Hartland; 3 brothers, Robert and wife Marcia Turcotte Sr. of Woolwich, Gordon and wife Pamela Turcotte of Westbrook, and James Turcotte of Westbrook; a sister, Mary Murray of Brunswick; 2 grandchildren, Richard Henward III and Andrew Henward; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.
