As of Sept. 3, hours for the Freeport Community Library will change. The total number of hours the library is open will not change, but the hours of operation will alter slightly. This change is based on both resident input and usage statistics, and is intended to allow the library to be open at times when it will be more useful to residents.

New hours as of September will be: Monday and Wednesday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Friday, noon-5 p.m.; Saturday (through May), 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Also at the library, story times for toddlers and pre-schoolers – and caregivers – will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays starting Sept. 3.

Building business
