FREEPORT — The Community Spay-Neuter Clinic, a high-volume, low-cost, spayneuter clinic that benefits pet owners who cannot otherwise afford to have their pets spayed or neutered, is looking for volunteers to join its team and to help with outreach in the community.
Each year, approximately 8 million dogs and cats enter shelters, and an estimated 4 million must be euthanized simply because they do not have a loving home. The Community Spay-Neuter Clinic relies on volunteers and donations to provide affordable spay-neuter services to cat and dog owners who can’t otherwise afford it.
Volunteers are needed to work in the clinic on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays every week. Morning, afternoon, and late-afternoon shifts are available. If you would like to volunteer, but cannot come into the clinic, they also need help with outreach in the community.
