WISCASSET — Sylvan Gallery has added three additional artists to its roster of contemporary artists: Susannah Haney of Wiscasset, Greg Laderer of Boothbay and Neal Hughes of New Jersey.
The current group exhibition featuring diverse new works in oil, watercolor and pastel by 21 gallery artists will continue through Aug. 31. The exhibit is constantly changing as new paintings of the New England landscape, Maine coastal views, historical maritime painting and contemporary still lifes arrive weekly.
Sylvan was established in 2001 in Clinton, Conn. Owners Ann and Rick Scanlan relocated the gallery to Wiscasset in May 2012. They represent a diverse group of contemporary New Englandbased artists, many of whom have a lifelong connection to Maine. The gallery, 60 Main St., is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
