GEORGETOWN — On Saturday, Aug. 3, Nan Ross of Bath will spin yarn and Robin Hansen of West Bath will demonstrate felting and making fisherman’s mittens at the Georgetown Historical Society, at 20 Bay Point Road.

Georgetown residents Rosemary Hentz, rug embroidery, and Juliana Cliffe, hand quilting, will be demonstrating their work on Aug. 10.

All four will welcome your questions. Those attending these demonstrations are encouraged to allow themselves time to view the Society’s fiber arts exhibit, which displays 19th, 20th, and 21st century pieces and runs through Oct. 12. For more information about the exhibit, check out the Society’s website, www.georgetownhistoricalsociety.org or its Facebook page.

These events are free and open to the public. The Historical Society is open Wednesdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays 10 to noon.
