DAMARISCOTTA — Former Sen. Olympia Snowe will be the featured guest Monday during Chats with Champions at 4 p.m. at The Lincoln Theater, 2 Theater St.

Known for her ability to work across party lines to forge compromises, Sen. Snowe offers a candid appraisal of a broken political system and what can, and must, be done to fix it in her new book, “Fighting for Common Ground: How We Can Fix the Stalemate in Congress.” She also pulls back the curtain on the highlights — and lowlights — of her career and her evolution as a legislator.

Following the presentation, Senator Snowe will sign copies of her book.
