The City Council will hold a public forum tonight to discuss what critics say was the hidden sale of a city-owned building for less than market value.
The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. at Bath City Hall.
The council decided to sell the former Bath Hospital building, owned by the city for over a decade, during executive session on April 17.
Assessed at $6.2 million, the building was sold for $799,000.
Michael Wischkaemper, of York Street, told councilors the sale was secret because the building was never listed on MLS, nor was it brought to public auction.
A bid by Robert Smith of Phippsburg was accepted without the city entertaining other bids, Wischkaemper has alleged.
