The Equity Fund of the Maine Community Foundation seeks grant proposals for projects that serve Maine’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning community.
Applications for project grants supporting the LGBTQ community in rural and other under-served communities are particularly encouraged, as are proposals for capacity-building support.
The deadline for applications is Sept. 15. Apply online at www.mainecf.org.
The Equity Fund is advised by a group of volunteers with expertise in LGBTQ issues. Last year, the committee distributed $27,500 in four grants ranging in size from $5,000 to the maximum $7,500.
