SKOWHEGAN — Six people were arrested in Skowhegan on Thursday afternoon on drug trafficking and related charges after police said they seized 16 grams of heroin and 10 retail bags of heroin from two apartments on Sherwood Avenue.
According to a news release from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, the following people were arrested:
• Allisha Savage, 24, of Skowhegan, on three counts of trafficking in heroin and crack cocaine, Class B.
• Darcy Soucier, 39, of Skowhegan, on charges of trafficking in crack cocaine and violation of bail.
• Prince Taylor, 31, of Brooklyn, N.Y., on a charge of trafficking in crack cocaine.
• Kareem Woods, 20, of Roxbury, Mass., on a charge of possession of crack cocaine.
• Brian Jenkins, 23, of Dorchester, Mass., on a charge of possession of heroin.
• Rashard Perkins, 28, of Leominster, Mass., on a charge of possession of crack cocaine.
The arrests came after police searched two apartments at 7 Sherwood Drive and 8 Sherwood Drive on Thursday morning. According to the release, they are still looking for Jason Savage, 22, of Skowhegan, who fled from one of the apartments and is wanted for questioning.
Police have been investigating reports of cocaine and heroin trafficking in Skowhegan for more than a month and more arrests are expected, according to the release.
