BATH — The Bath Youth Meetinghouse & Skate Park is sponsoring a benefit concert with three acts on Saturday, from 5 to 9 p.m.
The lineup includes Lauren Crosby of Georgetown, as well at Bath native Max Ater and Sons of Quint.
Weather permitting, grilled food will be available along with snacks and drinks from the Skate Park snack bar. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for those younger than 18. Proceeds will help the Meetinghouse & Skate Park continue its mission to serve the youth of Bath and surrounding communities.
Crosby grew up listening to Johnny Cash and Janis Joplin, and is currently building a passionate audience with her sinewy storytelling and nimble guitar playing. Ater won the grand champion prize at the 2012 Maine’s Got Talent competition, with his earthy, old-soul voice and piano-driven songs. The Sons of Quint’s particular brand of roadhouse rambunctiousness is the stuff of summer nightlife in Maine, with a mix of 38 Special with Merle Haggard and Van Morrison in their live shows.
