The South Portland Food Cupboard is moving to a new site on Thaddeus Street later this summer. To help defray the cost of moving its refrigerators, walk-in freezer, food, etc., Cluster 22 K of C have joined together to conduct three cookouts to raise funds for this move.

The Food Cupboard shares food with more than 700 men, women and children a month, and the number of clients keep increasing. As this Cupboard has grown more space is needed. Officials are very hopeful they will find at least 4,000 square feet of space to move to, in South Portland.

The first cookout was Saturday, June 22, 2013 on Holy Cross Church grounds. The second is on St. John the Evangelist Church grounds on July 20 from 4-7 p.m, The third will be on the grounds of St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Scarborough on Aug. 24, from 5-7 p.m.
