BRUNSWICK — The 28th annual Summer Organ Concert
Series kicks off July 9 for a series of 40-minute noontime concerts on Tuesdays.
The series of organ concerts by outstanding organists is played on a 1883 Hutchings Plaisted organ, restored in 2003.
Mathias Schmelmer, organist, kicks off the series July 9, followed on subsequent Tuesdays by organists Ann Hartzler, Jacques Boucher, Harold Stover, Katelyn Emerson and Ray Cornils.
Tours of the historic church, established in 1717 and added to the National Register of Historic Places, will be available after each concert.
The events take place at First Parish Church United Church of Christ at Maine Street and Bath Road. A $5 donation at the door is suggested.
