BATH — The Artful Cat silent auction will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Saturday, June 29, at the Winter Street Center, 880 Washington St., in an event that showcases the art of the feline.
Local artists Tom Paiement, Jane Frost, Livvy Glaubitz, Valerie Michael, Susie Stephenson, Elaine Reed, Nan Kilbourn Tara, Jay Ketner, Shirley Lewis, Monty Smith, Linda Portee, Deb Casterlin, Nancy Hill, Victoria Hope Jackson, Karen Johnson, Shannon Gilmore Ashbrook, Joyce Gracie, Olivia Hoffman, Alicia Dole, Wayne Robbins, Jane Conway, Joanne McDonald, Marnie Hackenburg, Gillian Herrigel, Lynn Cyr, Nina Thiboutot, Wendy Tremblay and others donated their talents to creating fanciful felines on pre-cut cat-shaped wooden forms.
Some of the artists also are donating cat-inspired art in a variety of mediums, including clay, fabric and exotic woods.
There will be food, music and a cash bar during the silent auction. Tickets are $10 in advance at Wags and Whiskers and Sharon Drake Real Estate, both in Bath; $12 at the door.
The event is sponsored by and benefits A Paw in the Door, a Bath-based feline aid and rescue nonprofit.
