PHIPPSBURG — Phippsburg Sportmen’s Association is hosting a Summer Youth Field Day on Sunday.
Activities will begin at the Sportsmen’s Association’s Clubhouse and Outdoor Education Center on Route 209, Main Road.
For younger participants — grade and middle school age — the day is organized in a series of hour-long sessions including archery, flycasting, target shooting, tracking and trapping, and kayaking.
Kids are organized into small groups and try their hands at each of these activities. All equipment will be provided.
This year there will also be activities for older kids, teens and families, including Map and Compass, and Geocaching.
Preregister for Map and Compass and Geocaching by leaving a message at 443-9426. Map and Compass and Geocaching are recommended for youth in their teens or older.
All participants must register at the Sportsmen’s Association Clubhouse and Outdoor Education Center the morning of the event.
Most activities are at the PSA Campus. For activities at other locations, transportation will be provided. Registration begins at 7 a.m. Youth must be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian. There is no charge for this event and lunch will be provided.
