BRUNSWICK — For Brunswick’s Second Friday ArtWalk tonight, the Bowdoin College Museum of Art will stay open until 8 p.m. and visitors can enjoy the exhibit “Per Kirkeby: Paintings and Sculpture,” which introduces to American audiences the Danish artist, one of Europe’s most celebrated contemporary artists.
The artist’s roles as geologist and filmmaker are reflected in this survey of approximately 45 works.
Anticipating a lovely spring evening, the museum will provide cool treats from The Gelato Fiasco outside near the entrance to the museum, beginning at 6 p.m.
Fully accessible, the Bowdoin College Museum of Art is open to the public free of charge from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday; 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday; and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
