ARTVAN is the recipient of a $5K matching grant from the Jane B Cook 1992 Charitable Trust. With the generous support of the Davenport Trust as well as individuals and fundraising efforts, ArtVan was able to raise $8,602, exceeding the required $5K in order to meet the grant challenge. With a total of $13,602 going directly to ArtVan’s neighborhood programs in Bath, Brunswick, Lewiston, Auburn and Biddeford, the nonprofit will be able to continue offering services free of charge to children and teens who might not otherwise have access to after school and summer arts programs. Started in 2004, ArtVan is a mobile arts therapy program based in Bath, led by Jamie Silvestri a registered Art Therapist along with professional staff and volunteers.
