LEWISTON — Concert artist Igor Lovchinsky presents the final program of the 2012-13 Piano Series season at the Franco-American Heritage Center today. The recital begins at 7:30 p.m. and will include works by Bach-Busoni, Chopin, Scriabin and Liszt.
Lovchinsky is one of the most popular pianists to have given recitals at the Franco Center, where he has also appeared as soloist with the Midcoast Symphony Orchestra.
Born in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia, his family settled in Ohio when he was 10 and he continued his study with Nina Polonsky and Steven Glaser.
Tickets are $16 for adults and $14 for seniors, and may be purchased at the box office, by phone at 689-2000, online at www.francocenter.org, or at the door. Students are admitted free.
