HARPSWELL — Orr’s Island Library President Margaret Bonarrigo and the Board of Trustees announced a legacy gift of $10,000 from the estate of Mary C. and Armand L. Bernier of Orr’s Island.

The gift will establish the Mary C. and Armand L. Bernier Book Fund, which will be “open to gifts, bequests and contributions from any source.”

The first such fund ever established for the Orr’s Island Library will help keep the collection fresh and updated, Bonnarigo said in a news release.
