Absentee ballots for the annual school budget validation vote are now available in Cape Elizabeth and Scarborough, while polls will be open in both towns on Tuesday, May 14.
Ballots include an up-or-down vote on the total school operating budget for the fiscal year starting July 1, as well as a referendum question on whether that amount is “too high,” “acceptable,” or “too low.” This year, ballots also ask voters if they wish to continue the validation vote process for another three years.
