BRUNSWICK — As part of its Scooping for Community program, The Gelato Fiasco donated $589 to Girls on the Run-Maine after a busy charity event in its Portland store April 8. The Gelato Fiasco donated 100 percent of participants’ pre-tax sales.

The company has donated more than $10,000 to Cumberland County-based schools and nonprofits in 2012-13.
