SACO – For the third time in seven days, Saco police on Monday arrested a man following an investigation into a complaint about suspicious or indecent activity.
Roy I. Fortin, 57, of Biddeford, was arrested Monday and charged with indecent conduct after he allegedly exposed his genitals to an undercover police officer in a wooded area behind the commuter parking lot on Industrial Park Road.
Fortin had not posted the $100 cash bail and was taken to York County Jail in Alfred, according to Saco Deputy Police Chief Jeffrey Holland. His first court appearance is set for July 24.
Last week, Saco police dealt with two similar incidents.
On Tuesday, a man was arrested after police say he was walking naked through the Cascade Brook trail system.
Daniel J. Latham, 54, of Yarmouth, was spotted by Police Chief Bradley Paul. Latham took off running deeper into the woods, but police caught up with him after a brief chase as he stopped to put on his pants. He was charged with indecent conduct.
On Thursday, police arrested Allen Hahn, 64, of Old Orchard Beach, on a charge of unlawful sexual contact.
According to police, Hahn engaged an undercover officer in a brief conversation and then stepped toward the officer, grabbed the officer’s genitals though his clothing and said, “Are we doing this?” police said.
Police have stepped up their patrol of Cascade Brook after numerous complaints about illicit activity.
All three arrests have occurred during daylight hours.
