The fourth annual Shake-NBake is held to help one or more families that are facing life threatening illness. This year the event will be benefiting Aubrey Padilla and Wayne Crooker.
The Wicked Blues Band is donating its time — as is the warm up band, Married with Chitlins — with proceeds from tickets sales and a raffle all going to offset medical bills of the beneficiaries.
Wicked Blues was formed in the summer of 2012 by Jason Simonds of Jefferson and Pat Ginnaty of Bremen. They added Annette Rundall of Nobleboro playing bass in August, and Bill Rice of Alna as drummer in October.
Simonds has been writing lyrics and songs and has been working with the rest of the band to create music to back it all up. Together, they have over a dozen originals. Wicked plays a wide variety of blues, that is designed to get people dancing. They like to say that if you think the blues is all slow and sad, you need to hear them play you the difference, a news release said.

The event starts in the morning with a motorcycle ride from Bowdoinham to Gardiner, and then back to Lisbon Falls. The gates open at 1 p.m. with two hours of warm up music, food and other activities, followed at 4 p.m. by the Wicked Blues Band, who will play until 8 p.m.
Tickets for the full event, including the ride, a T-shirt and food at the event are $25 per person. Those not wishing to ride may join the event in Lisbon Falls and buy a ticket at the gate for $15.
More information on the fundraiser can be found on the Healing Hearts Foundation Facebook page, or by calling Gary at 666-3601 or Steve at 666-8047.
