BATH — Mary Williams, 70, of Tower Circle died Friday, April 26, 2013 at Mid Coast Senior Health Center in Brunswick.

She was born in Portland on July 30, 1942, a daughter of Floyd A. and Emma M. (Clough) Sawyer.

Mary was employed at the Congress Sportswear in Bath, Bath Cemetery Department and Bath Memorial Hospital as a cook. On August 15, 1970 she married Charles Williams. She opened her home to many and everyone called her “Gram.”

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She enjoyed cooking, riding of on the trolley with her husband and loved spending time with her family and dog “Buddy.”

She is survived by her husband, Charles Williams of Bath, one daughter, Shari Reynolds and her companion Christopher Easter of Bath, two brothers, Bud Sawyer and his wife Row of Topsham and Sonny Sawyer of Brunswick, one sister, Eve Douglas of Lisbon Falls, one aunt, Mattie Talbot of Brunswick, two grandchildren, Ryan Martin and his fiancée Alexia Alexander and Jared Martin and his companion Saige Perser, granddaughter, Aspen Easter, one great grandson, Link Lallier and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Emery Sawyer, two sisters, Gloria Licameli and Berle Sawyer.

A celebration of life will be held 1 PM to 4 PM on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the American Legion, Post #21, Congress Avenue, Bath. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bath at a later date.
